Kevin Kiely b. Northern Ireland; attended University of Iowa; travelled, lived, worked in Europe, U.S.

Arts Council Bursary Awards in Literature: 1980, 1989, 1990, 1998, 1990 & 2004. Honorary Fellow-in-Writing at The International Writing Programme 1983/4 with poets Paul Engle, Marvin Bell, Gary Snyder and Galway Kinnell.Critic/editor reviews books and writes for various publications. Lives in Dublin. Currently pursuing a PhD in poetry; commissioned to write another novel for children, developing poems towards a collection, as well as other projects in literature and freelance writing.
